RETAINERS

Dentatus Matrix System is Dr. Nyström’s original design.

Models MEC-N1 and N2 were the first angulated Retainers. They are mirror images of each other and can be applied lingually or buccally to provide firm adaptation of the matrix band to the tooth. When placed lingually, they permit a better field of vision. When placed buccally, the angulation prevents twisting of the retainer and thus its displacement by the tongue or cheek. The stability gained adds to the rigidity of the Nyström Matrix System.

The Nyström Retainers are also available in a universal straight aperture (MEC). This design is simple and easy to handle.

Both styles feature adjustment screws that are tightened after the matrix band is adapted providing secure retention and ease of use.
