The original Nyström design
Dentatus Matrix System is Dr. Nyström’s original design.
Models MEC-N1 and N2 were the first angulated Retainers. They are mirror images of each other and can be applied lingually or buccally to provide firm adaptation of the matrix band to the tooth. When placed lingually, they permit a better field of vision. When placed buccally, the angulation prevents twisting of the retainer and thus its displacement by the tongue or cheek. The stability gained adds to the rigidity of the Nyström Matrix System.
The Nyström Retainers are also available in a universal straight aperture (MEC). This design is simple and easy to handle.
Both styles feature adjustment screws that are tightened after the matrix band is adapted providing secure retention and ease of use.

Dentatus has manufactured the original matrix retainers according to
Dr. Nyström for decades. They are made of Swedish stainless steel and are recognized for their reliability.
Dentatus’ Matrix Bands are manufactured from the highest quality stainless steel. The standard shape bands are available in two thicknesses: 0.050 and 0.040 mm.
The 0.040 bands are made of high quality stainless steel, and the thicker bands, 0.050, are made from stainless steel with special dead soft quality. The choice of steel quality gives the bands high strength and good adjustability. The thinnest bands provide very good prerequisites for well contoured and defined interproximal contacts.
Dentatus quality has proven to be highly regarded by users all over the world for a long period of time. All Dentatus Matrix Bands have perfectly smooth edges.
