Surtex Sterile Posts is the first and only pre-sterile post system.

Like the Surtex Classic Posts, they offer dentists consistently reliable solutions for post and core build-ups. Dentatus high-quality, prefabricated posts are dependable, economic and available in pure titanium and gold-plated materials.

The Surtex Classic Posts are the result of experience and knowledge gained as a trusted partner to the dental industry since 1932. They are intended for passive cementation in root canals, which prevents tension buildup and risk of root fracture.

Surtex Classic Posts deliver superior retention properties with all standard restorative materials. The thread increases retention, but it’s the innovative Surtex surface texture that delivers 200% more mechanical retention as compared to non-textured posts*. Introduced in 1998, this texturized surface not only minimizes the risk of posts loosening, but also masks unsightly post exposure through restorative materials.

Surtex Sterile Posts are available in two materials:

Surtex Sterile Titanium (TSTS) posts are made of pure titanium and are recommended for optimal biocompatibility with surrounding tissue.

Surtex Sterile Gold Plated (RSTS) posts are recommended when an economical alternative is required (e.g. in temporary crowns).

Post size selection takes into consideration a combination of both the diameter and length of the canal, and the height of the crown. The size of the post should coincide with the selected reamer and the length should be as long as possible without the post head interfering with shape, function and esthetic properties of the finished restoration. You can confirm dimensions on the measuring gauge provided on the One-Stop Dispenser. The fit in the root canal is verified without rotating the post.
